Times Square New York
Hellooooo, you sparkly pearl!
Have you ever given away your power?
Ten years ago, I had a vision of being on a billboard.
From time to time, I get visions of events that are coming. It is different than a dream in my heart. It is an image that I see for a moment and then it vanishes.
Sometimes the visions are for me. Sometimes for other people. Sometimes I misinterpret them completely – like the time I made my entire family postpone our trip by a day because I thought something bad would happen. It didn’t.
I started noticing them in my late 20’s after it happened a couple times. I thought this has to be more than coincidence yet I had never heard of such a thing before.
I shared the billboard vision with my coach at the time. Without asking me any questions, she said “You need to stop coaching for fame.”
My heart fell to my toes. Am I really doing this work for fame?
I LOVED (and still do) serving my clients. I LOVED (and still do) my work. Everything about coaching felt like it was what I was meant to be doing. Plus, I have never been one for the spotlight, especially back then when I was still trying to open my shell and shine so I couldn’t really connect with the fame part.
I had a lot of respect for this coach. She was experienced. She spoke with confidence so I put a ton of power on what she said. I questioned myself for nine months – NINE MONTHS!
I questioned my motives for being a coach.
I questioned my natural ability to get visions.
I questioned everything…until I didn’t.
After nine months, the coach said a few more strange things to me that felt off. This is when I realized that even though she was an experienced coach, she was still human. I had put her on a pedestal. I had given her my power.
She had not asked about the vision with curiosity to learn about my unique gift.
She had projected her desire for being recognized on to me.
Once I realized this, I reclaimed my power. I stopped working with her. I owned my vision even if it didn’t make any sense to me. Then I forgot about it all…until now. Ten years later.
An opportunity to be on a billboard in Times Square New York fell into my lap. The minute it did, I knew what I was supposed to do.
I still have no idea why I was supposed to be on that billboard. But, here I am world!
Maybe it is to ask you this…
Where are you giving away your power and it is time to take it back?
What dream have you put on hold because someone told you it was silly, impossible, or somehow made you a bad person?
SHUCK THAT! It is time for you to go for what you really, really, really want in this life. Believe in the impossible. Look for the magic and that is what you’ll see.
And if you want help, let me know. Supporting you and your dreams is what I LOVE to do – and not for the fame 😉
Shuck with love,
Jessica
P.S. I would LOVE to hear what you would put on a billboard. Will you share it with me?
