Hellooooo, you sparkly pearl!
There are moments you know your life is going to change. This was one of them.
Being interviewed by Mark Laita of Soft White Underbelly and his team has opened up my world in the most unexpected and shucktacular ways.
It all happened so effortlessly. I e-mailed them to see if we could collaborate and Mark called me within 5 minutes. The next week I was in LA for this interview.
While it was effortless, it was NOT easy. I was soooo nervous going to the interview. The good kind of nervous where you know it is completely aligned with your heart and have no idea where it will lead you. (NOTE: I still don’t know where all of this is going!!!)
And, there were funny parts too. I can’t believe I am about to admit this, but…I was actually judging myself against the crack addicts Mark has interviewed. Really. I thought how could MY story be as meaningful and powerful as the beautiful souls he has captured from skid row.
I am still chuckling at myself today. I have been working on my self-worth and letting go of judgments for years. This judgment that surfaced reminds me I still have more work to do. Healing is a process and requires a lifetime of practice.
Here is a worksheet if you want to work through any of your judgments too.
What has touched me the most about all of this are the comments. Sooooo many people have shared their stories and poured so much love into me. At times, it has actually been a little overwhelming in the most miraculous way. It has cracked my heart open.
I also see my reach growing in ways I could have never imagined. This fills my heart in ways I can’t quite articulate yet. My best attempt is that somehow all the suffering I have emerged from with the help of the most incredible village, especially my parents (Mom and JD), is paying off in exponential ways. It fuels me to keep going.
This is where all of you come in too! Your support is so very appreciated. Your e-mails asking more detailed questions about personal growth and transformation allow me to help you even more deeply. That is such a gift for me. Please know I am always here for you.
Welcome to all of my new community members who found me through the interview! I am soooo grateful our paths have crossed. I hope the pearls of wisdom I share help to shuck open any shells of fear so your pearl can shine even more!!!
More ways to shuck open your shell to shine your pearl are coming…
